Dr. Moe Gelbart, director of behavioral health at Torrance Memorial Medical Center told the media the importance of communicating emotions to those around you and to not repress thoughts or emotions relating to sadness, anger, or grief. He says when explaining mass tragedies to children, it’s important to become the source of information for children and to validate their feelings.
