Navigating the ever-changing digital world can be difficult for parents. As children’s mental health took a dive in 2010 with the rise of social media and when the front facing camera was introduced to smartphones it is more important than ever for parents and teachers to keep children safe online. Throughout July, Cyber Safety Cop, Clayton Cranford spoke at several school safety conferences across the nation, speaking to educators, school officials, and parents about gun violence and social media safety for K-12 students. As a retired sheriff’s deputy and former school resource officer, Cranford has seen it all and helps educate parents on threat assessment, risks of social media, sextortion, AI, cyberbullying, and more
