AMN Healthcare, the largest healthcare staffing agency in the U.S., released a 2023 Survey of Registered Nurses with more than 18,000 nurses participating. The survey focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nurse satisfaction, mental health, and well-being, along with insight on the need for comprehensive, multisectoral solutions to the challenges facing nursing.
New data from AMN Healthcare shares that 9 in 10 nurses say the nursing shortage is worse than five years ago, and the increase in patient demand has overwhelmed many hospitals and healthcare workers.
